Hello friends
i need to show into a personal computer only 5-6 variable from cpu 315
I can use mpi or profibus opzional ethernet

I have already a cp 5612 inside a pc because i use this station for step S7

In normal operation i want to create a little application to read 5-6 variable from plc.
How can i use ??? Wincc 128 tag is very expansive.. */- 2000 € for use only 5-6 tag

what do you suggest for this problem ?

I haven't a little experience whit VB, i have try to use PRODAVE but i don't know how to use a library ofthis package.

Anyone have a little example for me ?

the simplest way (for me) would be to use an IO server from Wonderware and watch the variabiles in Excel.

I haven't experience whith Wonderware I/O server.
Can you help me to find a information to realize this connection ?

OK, sorry for the delay...
Here's the link for the IOserver; note you DO NOT need a DAS server (will be needed only with IAS, wich is not the case); the IO server is really what you need; you have a .pdf document included; hope there is no need for lincence (as I remember).
The variabile format for Excel should be included in the .pdf
You only need to install the server and configure it for your comm card. After this, open an Exel sheet and insert into the cell a variabile with the correct format for accessing the server. That's all.
