[?+]: Simatic Step 7 Modbus TCP introduction

Hi everyone !
I have a project wich a plc S7-300 has to be communicated with a touch panel of Schneider (Magelis) on Modbus TCP protocol but I don't know anything about that protocol.
I read something about siemens info already but it still confuse for me so I wonder if someone bring me a simple example to understand it and a little explanation how it works (Modbus TCP protocol and its FB's).

Magelis has S7 on TCP/IP Protocol.
