PLCSim Profibus/Profinet communication example

Hello yall,

First of all Im kinda noob to communications with Siemens PLCs...
Im trying to simulate communications between 2 cpus (s7-300 for example) and I was told that it is possible using PLCSim 5.4 Sp3 HF1...

But every test I did whent bust... Using CPs, using CPs integrated with the CPUs... Every try I did went wrong one way or another...

Does anyone have a simple program with hw configured and can send me pls pls pls...

Or maybe a doc where it explains how to configure a 2 cpu communication using profibus/profinet that can be simulated using plcsim?

I tried your example and it doesn't work...
Im getting Status Com = 16#0001 on both cpus dont know why!

I tried an similar example but using PROFIBUS and got SF on both cpus...

2. Which Step7 version you use ?

today I have tested Simatic example S7_PLCSIM_CPU_Communication.zip
It work. Step7 5.5
German - International
Z=C (countig from 0 while C1<999)
EB=IB (enable conting)
AW=QW (LED output show)

In the "S7-PLCSIMN" listbox dialog, you select the configured interface "PLCSIM (TCP/IP)" (for this example)


You must select the instance "S7-PLCSIMN" (1 or 2) before loading program to PLCN (1 or 2).
