Hello,
I've done a project in Control Builder. I execute SoftController instead of having a PLC hardware. I want to control the variables in Control Builder from InTouch. I also have OPC Server for ABB.
How can I access the variables from InTouch?
Thank you

Re: Connecting InTouch with Control Builder through OPC
Connect InTouch's OPC service to the ABB.AC800MC_OPCDaServer.3 (don't remember name exactly, smth like that), then use OPC server browser to connect the SCADA elements to PLC variables or inputs/outputs.
If InTouch supports PLC program structure upload you can connect directly to the structure elements, then deploy all of them in inTouch.

Re: Connecting InTouch with Control Builder through OPC
The InTouch's OPC Service is integrated in it? Or do I have to install it?
In a tutorial I read: "To start the OPC Tag Creator from InTouch WindowMaker, select the OPC option from the Special menu, then select Create Tag to access the OPC Tag Creator window", but I don't have this option. Is that what you mean?
Also, I am using ArchestrA, and from there I create an InTouch application. ArchestrA is able to create an OPC connection to ABB, but I don't know how to access from InTouch through this OPC's connection.
It doesn't matter the way I connect InTouch. Any idea? I am quite lost...
PD: Thanks for your fast response

Re: Connecting InTouch with Control Builder through OPC
Usually OPC server is presented as DCOM component. Any SCADA use OPC enumerator (opcenum) to get access to the list of available OPC servers. InTouch is not exclusion so should do the same... Unfortunately I'm not experienced with such couple: InTouch + AC 800M. All recommendation I gave are based on 800xA system settings.
Try search InTouch manual for "how to connect tag to OPC" or smth similar.

Re: Connecting InTouch with Control Builder through OPC
Thanks a lot. I FINALLY found the solution. InTouch is connected with ABB through an OPC Server.
