Re: ABB Softstarter
It depends on what type of protocol do you use:
- "ABB_078F.gsd" for Profibus DP V0;
- "ABB_082d.gsd" for Profibus DP V1.
P.S. Note that the GSD file contains information about different software versions of the softstarter.
Check that correct part of the file is used in relation to the actual softstarter version.

Re: ABB Softstarter
Dear MEFinc
After installing GSD file I did not find it in Hardware catalog even when I select option--> update catalog.
When i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\Step7\S7DATA\GSD I find it.
What can I do to solve this issue?
Note: - it is so difficult to install these 2 GSD files cause
1- the name is too long (more than 12 char. (I change the name)
2- in ABB_078F there is a syntex error.
Is this possible?
Thanks

Re: ABB Softstarter
Try this archive:
https://library.abb.com/d/1SAJ924091R0104
I used "ABB_082D.GSD" from this archive and didn't have any issues with it installation.
P.S. Also watch "README-PBE91-FBP-R0104_S-b_2015-02-25" file. It contain information about supported PST CU versions.

Re: ABB Softstarter
I think your problem in your system. Try to install STEP on virtual machine.
I installed this files on two computers with STEP v5.6 and v5.7 and it's work fine.
One more thing, you need to find fieldbus plug PDP22-FBP not softstarter PST(B) in catalog.
