Download the Drive Image Plugin from Runtime, then add it to a Bart PE Boot CD. You then use the CD or USB to back up your complete system. Very easy to restore. Backed up a 9GB (used space) PC in 10 minutes. Then replicated to 3 other PCs, about 10 minutes each. Also backed a dell PC and restored on IBM PC no problem. May need to update drivers though. (pgood)

Just weighing in.
You might also take a look at Clonezilla. It's a free linux based boot disk. I used all of the others until I found this. For the best virus protection make a ext3 or ext4 partition around 10 gig or larger and target the image to here. Windows based programs (and windows viruses) can't read linux partitions. can use usb flash and hard drives also.
