HMI Running WinCC 7.0 Hangs Up

Post by engstreet » Wed Oct 09, 2019 2:41 am

Hi,

I have 2 S-400 CPUs connected by a common Profibus network with 2 PCs running separate instances of the same HMI (HMI displays values from both CPUs on common screens). The PCs fetch data from the same profibus network as well. One PC runs WinCC 7.0.2 while the other PC runs WinCC 7.0.3.

I have been facing an issue, intermittently, that my running HMI program hangs up. The display continues to update process values however input commands such as control valve manual opening, PID values, SOV open/close stop functioning. Attempts to close and restart the HMI project fail and the PC has to be restarted. This issue appears on both PCs randomly after every few days.

Kindly suggest possible trouble shooting methods or avenues I could check into to get rid of the problem.

Regards

Hi,
Maybe the HMI program hangs up after some specific actions, for example, after clicking on the button to which the script is attached. You can open the "Global script - Diagnostics" window and see if there are any errors.
