[?]: Migration from MP270B to MP277

Post by ilyamor » Mon Apr 06, 2009 7:04 am

I have SIMATIC HMI MP270B with 2 memory cards (PC and CF)
How I can transfer the program with MP270B to MP277?

Hello.

You need to use the migration option in Wincc flexible, is a very intuitive interface to migrate protool project files (you need to have the source file project from your MP270B in protool).

There are some functions in protool that are not recognized or supported by Winccflex, at the end of migration, the program show in a window these problems.

You need to verify the memory size that you need to install in your MP277 (if you plan to install only SD / MMC memory), or you can install a usb stick too; with this setting (2 memory allocations), you need to know what is stored in your old pannel, and configure the proper storage path in winccflex.

Thanks. And whether there is a possibility to write application with MP270 on DiskOnKey, and then to transfer on MP277?
I saw that in MP277 there is an USB input.

Hi.
The problem should be the programming language; if you are only replacing MP270 with another same type (MP270), you could use prosave to get the program from the damaged panel and restore it in the new panel.

Normally, the MP270 version was originally released for Protool, while MP277 was released for Winccflex.

If you want upgrade your panel, you need to migrate your project from protool to winccflex.
Regards.
