The quality codes is printed on certain type of tanks with ink.
This type of ink is more expensive than without the quality code.
Without an actual quality code the printer does not work.
Quality code is actual during 2000 hours.
Due to a trick with general clock the expired quality code is working 2000 hours too.
Quality code that had been entered is not accepting again.

Perhaps it wiil be usefull for somebody.

We use DOMNIO A100 and A200

we use a300 printers
does any one want a full domino servive tool kit and service parts ?
i have a whole new set of tools anda whole service kit a300 and nozzles and charge electrodes etc ?
also have acceess to the software for programming the pcmcia cards !!

The printers are very reliable. During six years only one termosensor is out of order from four printers. So we don't need in spareparts urgently.

But I very intersting in service software. I hope the software can:
1. to extend life of quality code
2. to decrease tempetature of printing head
3. to decrease working viscosity

The printers are working fine at decreased viscosity and pressure of ink (ink is spent less, but printed characters are slightly pale - it doesn't matter).

The temperature of head has valuable influence on makeup losses.
The makeup is solute based on 2-butanon (MEK, metilethilketone, CH3COC2H5). ~99% of MEK.
The printers are working fine on pure MEK and on mix 80%-MEK + 20%-alcohol. I had testing it during long time.

All of this are valuable steps for reducing costs of owning.

When the viscosity fails (viscosity out of range alert) i change the ink cartrige.
The manual says if i let the machine runing the viscosity will rise again but i cant have that much down time, so i change the ink, but i am not sure if i can salvage the old ink.
is there any way to save that ink or i have to trow it away?

just add a little amount of makeup to this ink

If you unawares added makeup more than it is necessary, and the viscosity become <100, so you have to reduce pressure of ink to 2200-2500 units while viscosity will back into normal value.

stand the ink module i a pan of warm water for about an hour the eccess make up flashes of
works a treat dont stan for too long or you go the other way and have to add more make up

What brand of ink do you use? we use GEM it may be cheaper ill investigate and tell you later

for make the ink viscosity back to normal, i use to run through dry air bubbles into the ink tank. It works.
Beware of water condensation from air into ink if you are using normal air source.

I’m very interested on this situation and also on the code generator!

I’ve some questions and I’ll place also some codes!

First the codes:
For ink 270 – 5493406207, Expires end: 04/2012
For ink 236 - 2315603932, Expires end: 08/2011
For ink 291 - 9957279109, Expires end: 08/2011

Now the questions:
Can someone explain the “trick with general clock” – my questions is because I know how to place the general clock to a date that the code can be accepted, but I need to know first the Expiration date of this code and in these posts normally you don’t place this information.

Second question is related with the ink type used, because I think I can’t place a code of an ink 270 on a machine that is using the 236, and also in most f the codes on these messages you don’t indicate the ink references.

For last and regarding the code generator I think that the 10 numbers codes define the ink type, the expiration date and also other information’s. I already know how to do some codes (in 15 normally I get one that Works – but with the same expiration date) once I know the meaning of one of this numbers. I can change this information with others that can help me to get some more information.

Please tell me what type of pcmcia card use in the Domino A300 ? What software is used to work with a memory card?

Firstly I need a code for 899 urgently.

I have worked on Domino printers for 14 years and am willing to answer any questions and help where ever I can.

As far as I know the quality code on the reservoir gives the printer the type of ink the manufacture date and the expiry date.

I have not found anyone as yet that can help with a code generator but I would gladly work with someone that can write computer code and try to solve this generator software issue.

As for some of the questions asked earlier in these posts.
1) Head tempreture is easy to change without the use of the PCMCIA card.
2) Changing viscousity range or reservoir life with the PCMCIA card and the software is not possible.
3) Macrojet logos need to be designed in a special software package and burnt onto the EPROM inside the printer.
