I have a very urgent problem with ELAU MC-4 firmware update, I tried a lot of methods to solved it used my DIY sreial cable, but alaways failured

Some ELAU guys seem to have symmetry difficulty with pinouts...

Here is my cable pinout diagram.

Be careful: always shut down power before connecting or disconnecting cable on X7... or this port may definitely burn out !
It is much a better way to upgrade MC4 firmware through the controller with Ethernet connection when possible !

First you have to register, then look in PacDrive M downloads.

Thank you so much for all the listed information.
Successfully update firmware on the MC4.
For some reason, there was an error on the drive and is not reset. All elements are intact. Firmware was 22.05, I again flashed the same drive and earned.

Hi and helloo.
First i've read all info from this post.
And i do have trouble with connection.

I've made cable as is shown (i have doubt that i do not make mistake) there is no ifo from where i see connector to MLAU.
But i have found GND

But still no connection
i see on scope that computer sending some transmit. But no receive at all.

i have two MC-4 and on both the same situation.

i have use a diagnostics v3 tool (from schneider)

What i do wrong ?

do i have to connect pin 6 or 5 ?
or maybe pin PRO_sel i have to disconnect or connect to +5V

i have conflict with RS drivers from other programs.
i have made succesfully update firmware

Updated it a week ago again. There was no connection either. I managed to connect under the following conditions:
1 program is open and waiting for connection.
2 rs232 cable is connected.
3 ONLY after that connect 24v power.
Connection Speed ​​115.

Wow, thank you apilife!

Every "official" document regarding the pinout of the 6-pin mini DIN diagnostic cable was written by morons.
You are absolutely correct that they have an issue with symmetry. More like Elau/Schneider can't tell the difference between their ass and their head (though it doesn't matter, because they are all ass heads, hahahahah).

Thank you, as well, goffka. I followed your steps and had success in downgrading this junk MC-4 servo to an older firmware.
