Hi all,

I have problem about PLC B&R with Type EX290,
i want to check the problem but i don't a software and the cable,
can any body tell me what software i must to use
and where i can find the software for free??

If my memory is not too bad, I believe a regular RS-232 cable will do the trick. If you need to make one, there are several posts throughout these forums with details. If you can't find them, just let me know and I will post the pin out.

If my memory is not too bad, EX290 is not a PLC CPU at all! It is a kind of IO extension adaptor.

But you can connecting to cpu and check the extention.
The pins for cable
2-3
3-2
5-5
And connect 4 with 6 on every side. Also you can connect 7 with 8.
