Problems with the DC motor

Post by misha1 » Thu Oct 14, 2021 4:18 pm

Hello ! (thnx)

There are 2 winders as part of the processing line. Problems started with one of the winders. The problematic winding is rotated by a DC motor of 30 kW, 400 V, 91 A. The excitation winding is 310 V, 5.5 A. The motor is powered by a Control techniques mentor 2 frequency converter of 37.5 kW. The engine failed and it was sent to rewind. After installing it back, it showed a starting current of 150 A for 3 seconds instead of 60 A and a dangling tension. I tried to do automatic tuning of the IF for this engine, it didn't help.

As an option, due to the fact that the engine was rewound inaccurately, because of this high starting current and jumping tension.

Have you ever had such cases ? What do you recommend ? (sos)

There have been cases of incorrect rewinding of the engine more than once. I recommend firing the rewinder and rewinding the engine again at his expense.
