How to Know How to Remove the Source Protection in Routines written in RSLOGIX5000

There is nothing to remove. Opposite. You have to add the source protection file and point the source protection routine to that file. Usally the file called sk.dat. So you have to look for the this file on the original machine and then you have to know the password as well in order to remove the source protection.

If I had the original machine then the source protection question wouldn't have been asked. If I knew the password I wouldn't ask the question. That's kind of obvious...

I know how to protect my routines. I want to to know (a) how protected they are and (b) if other routines that I don't know the password to can be unprotected.

The Siemens S7 routines are not too hard to find unprotection methods for. I was wondering about CLX

It looks like AB did a good job in that case. I don't know how to bypass that kind of protection neither. On the other hand, I did several jobs too with RSLogix5000 and I don't like the idea, that others take my knowledge for nothing. May you find something interesting, than let me know

I do not have the source code. I know how to edit sk.dat file.
