Why!! RSlink can't run on windows 7

v2.57 will be compatible w/ win 7 , due to release in sep. 2010

you can run Rs linx with a virtual machine in your new portable with WIN7, instal for example WMware and instal inside new virtual pc win xp, and run and works all rockwell software.

VirtualBox may be better and it is free!

RSLinx 2.57 is currently available int the Links section of the board but not yet available from Rockwell Software.
Confirmed it works on Windows 7 32/64bit.

Oracle VirtualBox is the best virtual pc software I've used. However, RSLinx does occasionally have trouble finding PLCs on the network when run from VirtualBox. Might depend on your setup. Already having the processors network location in the project file seems to solve the problem (download to controller from an xp machine, save project online, open project in virtual machine).
