Hello friend's . I'm novice to rockwell automation. I have 20 years of Siemens experience but allen bradley nothing.
Now i need to change my job and the new company required a knoweledge of Logix.

I have download few product but i don't understand what i need to start and to activate a product.

Is true, here there are a complete instruction, but there are a lot of instruction and for me ( novice ) it's very difficoltous to understund.

I want to install Logix V17 ,a simulator ( if exist ) activate and start.
I need your help for drive me step by step to do this.

Anothe question : it's possible to install into a WM ware virtual machine ?

google "literatur rockwell" - so to find the link for the literaturepage of rockwell. Then search for programming and you get a lot of pdf-files. Then read, read...

You need RS Linx Classic, FaktoryTalk Service Platform, RS Logix and the activation. you get a 30 days license from your local AB dealer.

I am using RS 500, 5000 and FT View under WMware virtual machine 2 years and all works fine for me (including download over ethernet and RS232).
