[?]: S7-300 CPU314C-2DP LED Status

Post by amit » Sat Aug 11, 2012 9:02 am

Hi Friends,
what should be the status of 5VDC LED in run mode.
In manual Its status in all fault conditions is given but not given for run mode.
CPU is 314C--2DP with MLFB 6ES7314-6CH04-0AB0.

regards

Amit

DC5V led means that there is 5V power for CPU and bus. IMO it is pure hardware signal, it doesn't depend on CPU state.

So it should be on in the all CPU states.

I've checked my S7-314 and S7-315-2DP, and, yes it looks that DC5V is hardware signal. I'm not electronic specialist, but, for me there is DC/DC converter that changes 24VDC (power supply voltage) to 5VDC (logic supply voltage), and probably DC5V led is directly (or through some resistor) connected to the bus.
