I'm searching for monotouch because i want to develop a s7 visualization for my machine on the iphone.

i've jailbreaked it, and i don't wont to programm apps for the appstore, but the cheapest monotouch licence you get is 399$ for appstore development!

is it anywereas full version aviable for download, for testing purposes?

I got i to work and can use it on my iphone, but not sure if this is the real monotouch version..

i downloaded monodev. and found a way to make iphone apps into it..

1. install the "MonoDevelop-2.2.2+r158365.dmg"
2. install the "MonoFramework-2.6.4_3.macos10.novell.x86.dmg"
3. install the "monotouch-eval-2.0.5.pkg"

thats how i got it to work, if it dosnt work, try another install combination..

Personally i'm looking for a modbus client software for iphone, so you can manipulate and view data from all plc's (modbus tcpip) :

I think with the eval Version you could not create Iphone apps, only for the simulator!

I there no were a newer Version aviable? (like 3.0.8 or newer?)

I tryed the upper Version, its also only the evaluation, no app creation possible!

i'm sorry then, like i posted : "got it from another site where they said it would work".

Maybe there a ready made APP's you can use to display PLC data like : scadamobile

Personally i'm a windows programmer: C, C++, C#, VB.net ....
going to the Xcode devellopment platform is confusing.

First i had to install MACOS in a VMWARE, because it only runs a macintosh OS.
Secondly the XCODE SDK looks like hell.

Even with mono, .net still looks ugly in Xcode.

Does noone use this? I'm searching the Internet for weeks and didn`t find a Version!

has anyone yet found a working iphone modbus tcp solution ?
Guess i have to write my own modbus tcp stack on Xcode and SDK4

for those wanting to test SCADAmobile : there is a free version now in the apple store.
Only limitation with full version is 1 PLCtag.
