Hello!

I am new user of SIMATIC, while I have worked a lot on Modicon, Schneider PLCs.

I have to select a PLC SIMATIC S7-300 with two Touch Screens, One screen will be on the same panel, and other will be far away. The PLC should have the following I/O quantity.

DI = 24
DO = 16 (Relay/Transister) which one is cheeper.
AI = 8 (4-20mA)

I need help to find the exact part number, suitable for my application.
My process is very simple, I have to On/Off digital outputs, wihch respect of analogue & digital inputs.

Regarding the Touch Screen, They sould be able communicate using Modbus RTU Protocol (RS-485), besides Profibus.
One screen shall be located on the PLC Panel (for Monitoring & Control), and the other will be 150m away from PLC (Only for Monitoring).

My final Question is whether the Profibus is on RS485, and which type of cable is recommended for Profibus.

Looking forward for the best possible solution from the users of this forum.

Regards

LEO-ALI

6ES7313-6CF03-0AB0 - CPU with integrated 16DI & 16DO
6ES7321-1BH02-0AA0 - Digital input module (16DI) or 6ES7323-1BH01-0AA0 - Digital input/output module (8DI/8DO)
6ES7331-1KF01-0AB0 - Analog input module (8AI)
(+ necessary accessories, such as front connector, etc.)
6AV6642-0BA01-1AX1 - Color 5,7 Touch Panel (Profibus incl.) or 6AV6642-0AA11-0AX1 - monochrome touch panel (not sure about Modbus)
About cable: Siemens has a special Profibus cables, but physically - is RS485.
