If you have a CP 535/143/1430 on the S5 side and CP 443-1 on S7 side, Ethernet connectivity can be established very easily.
Profibus connectivity can be used in case IM308-C/ CP5431 is available on the S5 side. On the S7 side you will need a DP master available.
A serial link is also possible with S5 over CP525 on S5 side and Cp 340/341 on S7 side.
Please select based on the hardware available.
