Re: [?]: S7-200+TD-200 problem

Smells like it is an TD problem. Check the TD settings (MPI address, V memory, etc...) Otherwise, check your cabling. Do you use Profibus cable? Maybe PLC & TD are far away and you have EM interference. Try to ground the cable properly. Usually it's a communication problem, it is rare to have faulty...

Re: [?]: How to communicate s7-200, CPU 226 to CPU 224

For Profibus you have to use a profibus master, and that's not possible with S7-200. For modbus, take a look at page 347 in S7-200 manual. If it is only S7-200 you use, then try PPI network, is a very good choice and inexpensive. Otherwise, you can always try TCP/IP. (sfaq) http://support.automation...

Re: [?]: Can i use a regular USB-Serial adaptor for S7-200

Hi Well, I have tried connecting using USB-RS232 adapter and the PPI cable from Siemens (essentially RS232-RS485 adapter) but unsuccessfully... However, I managed to program the S7-200 using the MPI adapter (w/ USB) that usually is used for programming the S7-300/400. Regarding the USB-RS232 adapter...

No person can be ProfiBus Certified, unless one plans to connect oneself to the ProfiBus bus. A device however can. Check here:

Hi Vishal Although I haven't done that before, it seems to me that the best way to do it is understand what the AB does (reverse engineering), and transfer the code to the S7. A rough guide how to do it, but take it with a grain of salt: 1) Are there any functions used? If so, try to understand what...
