Re: PCS7: Is there a project analyzing tool?
e.g. this: https://abload.de/img/clipboard1hak3k.jpg The red arrow and yellow markup was done by siemens support, in project it is not yellow, only the red text appears. When compiling Simatic Manager throws no error, it is no textual connection either so it is not yellow and using the function to c...

Re: Simatic Manager crashed - cannot delete SFC block anymore
Thank you, I would like to do an update to this: I deleted all linestates from this SFC and then was able to compile the CPU again. I still cannot delete the SFC block but compilation is enough for now. The project will now be sent to Siemens for repair. I also tried to delete all ES_MAP (in a copy)...

PCS7: Is there a project analyzing tool?
Currently we are working on a Project and have numerous phases, EMs in library, which are then instantiated and compiled. We also work together with Siemens support. Unfortunately, Siemens Support told us, we have a lot of not connected linestates in our phases. That means, if I open the SFC and ope...

Simatic Manager crashed - cannot delete SFC block anymore
ello all, I have a problem with a SFC: When doing an Update Block types from Library to System Simatic Manager crashed. Now I am left with a SFC block which I cannot delete, because of the error message "text cannot be read" and I cannot compile this CPU anymore. I therefore would have to delete the...

HIMA USB stick dongle backup files
Hello all,
a question about HIMA Usb stick licences,
is it sufficient to back up the files on the USB Stick and copy them onto another to make SILWORX work?
Or is there more protection on the USB Stick, not visible?

Program to train basic initial PID tuning by gut feeling?
Hello all, I often have to tune PID controllers by feeling. I get a system for a short time, and have to initial tune a PID controller. A more thorough tuning with programs is done afterwards. But the basic tuning is done by me. Is there a simple training program for initial PID tuning by try and er...

Is it beneficial to keep a laptop having TIA Portal 15 and Step7 installed in parallel?
Is keeping Step7 on a laptop in parallel to Tia 15 worth it?
I would like to have a laptop for "all" situations, be it my company or some other.
Are there still projects that must not be opened with TIA but with Step7 instead?

Simatic Net PCMCIA Profibus Card still useable?
Hello, I have a Simatic Net PCMCIA Profibus Card, Adapter for CP5511/CP5512. I am not all too familiar with Siemens. The card is a 32Bit card and would work on one of my newer laptops, as it still has PCMCIA. What can this card be used for? Can I use it to program S7 300/400 and others? Or is it wor...

Accessing Modicon PLC with a substitute of USB-Modbus Plus?
Hello all,
Connecting to a Modicon PLC a laptop with old DOS Software on Windows XP and a USB-Modbus Plus Converter is used.
Is it possible to access the Modicon with some different USB Device, not the USB-Modbus Plus Converter from Schneider?
Is Modbus plus a proprietary protocol built on Modbus?

Thank you for trying. Could you tell me how you found that out? Did you use Hash-identifier in kali linux? Did you try to break it, with hashcat? Recover passwords from a Triconex PT2 proctect file?
Hello all,
Does anybody know how to recover passwords from a Triconex PT2 project file?
The file can be opened with 7ZIP/WINRAR and I found strings in a file that might match hashes for the passwords, as they appear near the usernames.
Has already someone looked into this?
