Is it possible to upload the program on your computer? If so, then you could export to an .L5X file and use the tool from above in this thread. I havent tried with a real live PLC that is locked, so it depends on how it was locked. The PLC lock is something completely different, it is not possible ...

Fixed that for you.
Vendors lock PLCs for two reasons:
1. To protect their intellectual property.
2. To stop idiots messing with the code and killing themselves, or other people.

Howdo,
You will need RSLogix5 & RSLinx software and an RS232 cable as a minimum. There are other connectivity options available depending on the PLC5 type, but the serial cable will probably be the cheapest option for you.

Mr_Alex, I'm not 100% sure what you are asking, but the redundant ControlLogix racks will only support ControlNet or Ethernet/IP network communications with switchover - you cannot add a Prosoft module to each rack with a view to redundant modbus comms - is that what you mean? Re: [?]: RSLOGIX 500 ver 8.3 is not correctly installed
It's highly possible that it's due to an invalid serial number.
You can correct this in the registry:
A valid serial for RSLogix 500 is 1012169604
You can correct this in the registry:
Code: Select all
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 500 English\UserInfo

The error message says it all really. Try a repair from the control panel, if that fails then uninstall completely and try again.

From the Rockwell knowledgebase: 1. Search your PC for RSEds.dll - default path C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSCommon 2. Download RSEds.zip and unzip 3. Replace RSEds.dll on PC with the downloaded one 4. Test, if it still fails then try a repair installation of RSLogix 5000 version 20 RSEds.zip

1. Right click on the Trends folder in the Controller Organizer and select Open Trend Log.
2. Choose the appropriate file (*.tbs) and click Open.

Hmm, I've never used RSBatch so I can't really comment on whether it's of any use to you, sorry. Hi. Personally I wouldn't use the FTV Recipe Editor for 10 parameters, let alone 2000! If you are not competent in VBA then an SQL solution will only cause you a world of pain as you have no other way of getting the information from the db into the display. What is your actual recipe structure? Does...

Yes - the poduced and consumed tags are set up in the PLCs, the type of ethernet switch is unimportant.

Those videos make no mention of emulator analog modules whatsoever.
RSEmulate is a controller emulator and not a process simulator, if you want to manipulate analog values then you will have to either change them manually from the tag monitor, or write simulation code to do what you need to do.

Hi,
1. Using a non-breaking space in your strings will stop SE adding the quotes, i.e. use alt+255 instead of typing a space.
2. No, SE won't let you pass a number as a parameter.
