FPWin v6

Hi Everyone, I apologize for taking so long to get back to plc.net.ru. I was out of work for almost a year, and now the job I have is working us 12.5 hours a day, 5 days a week (including weekends). This old dog comes home dead tired every day, but today is my day off. I am reuploading the FPWin v6 ...

Example Logix500 Program

I just uploaded an example program from Logix 500 "Samples" folder. It is a working program, it very well documented, and it will run in 500.

If you have RSLogix 500, the "Samples" folder has programs for newbies to experts.

I just posted a link for you that will get you v6 of FPWin from my RS. I have been running it, and it really isn't that much different than 5.3.

uForte

Hi Mech,

I will do some checking & try to find a license for this, BUT, I hadn't ever knew about this program.

Just a general question, what does this program have that a program like Matrikon or Kepware doesn't have?

Text programming PLC

You might want to have a look at this website: http://www.industrologic.com/products.htm I do a bit of PLC programming with the Panasonic (old Aromat) PLC, and because it supports all five parts of IEC61131-3, it completely supports structured text programming. I have used ST programming in the past...

[?]: OPC, Visual Basic 6, AutomationDirect 05 PLC

Hi plc.net.ru, I am currently working on a sample program that I am going to post in this forum that uses Visual Basic 6 for the HMI, an AutomationDirect 05 PLC , and "TopServer" (SoftwareToolbox) OPC server. A couple of years ago I built an entire injection molding machine with these components, bu...

[?]: OPC .NET API

I actually called the guys in Michigan about getting this one, and they told me I could have the API software for the minuscule sum of $****. I will probably take some cans to the recyclers and have that in no time. I haven't given up yet on this one, but if they do sell it to a company (I was tryin...

The link below is a PDF file with UL508. This is the American regulations for building electrical control panels. This stupid PDF file cost me $495, and the other PDF, UL508A, also cost $495. I am SO **** that I had to pay such a ridiculously high price for something that should be free. PLEASE send...

Alarm & SMS OPC

Hi AOK,

I will do some digging today & see what I can some up with. I have several different OPC programs, but some of them I have not put them through all of their paces.

If I come up with what looks like a solution I will be sure to PM you.

Best regards,

Hi AOK, I hadn't even heard of this one until your post. I checked out their customer list. It is obvious that their target market has been Israel, Australia, and the UK. I will definitely will keep an eye open for this one. Couldn't a Kepware OPC be customized to provide the same functionality? I k...

U3 technology

Hi Artbistr, One sure fire way around the U3 technology is using a Hex Editor. Most hex editors will allow you to "dump" an entire drive. A simple way is to dump the drive into the hex editor, take the dumped information and copy it to notepad or any other ascii text editor (do NOT use WordPad or Mi...

B&R Cable

If my memory is not too bad, I believe a regular RS-232 cable will do the trick. If you need to make one, there are several posts throughout these forums with details. If you can't find them, just let me know and I will post the pin out.

Sad part is I think I've seen at least 16 of the 25 broken at one time or another (I have been a PLC technician for 20+ years).

Thanks Kuyviet for this post!
